i read that you can't read text or numbers in dreams (or something like that) because somehow those functions of the brain don't work in dreams.
i think i remember it from an episode of g.i.joe the cartoon when somebody was trapped in a dream machine designed by cobra, but they figured out that it was a dream because they couldn't read anything. and then they kicked cobra commanders ass for being a punk ass bitch.
